(a) How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) {click on link}

(b) wmp .. hmm ... well depends whether you have iTunes set to use it's own music library. WMP is a playlist player so will play the songs from wherever the songs are added from. I'd normally move them to My Music folder & add them from there via opening WMP, directing it to where the music is. Here's an old version WMP example: Using windows media player. Just keep in mind, that if you move the song files away from where they are, WMP will not be able to find them, unless you add them to WMP's playlist last (after moving 'if' you move them).

I'm sure there's lots of people who will post easier ways.
