Default Help... (concerned about legality)

Forgive me for being a total novice but I am 89 years old and I have just found limewire today and paid for the pro version.
I thought this thing would be great to download my music.
However I have just started and my friend tells me I should remove this right away as it is illegal to download music and share music in this way.

Can someone please tell me if this is correct? I would only download about 20 records each week probably and they say my Internet Server could ban me from using their site and I could face a ban.
Can someone please tell me where I stand with what I am doing? I cant afford a fine at my age, please help.

I would say you are safe if you are 89 years old. If they sue you threaten to go public. Suing an 89 year old is like a cherry on top of their recent escapades.

That's probably bad advice though, as the record industry is known to be manned by complete morons. They probably don't realize when they shoot themselves in the foot.

BTW it's really uncommon for them to care about the music older people download... unless you are really hip

Thanks but I am not sure that anwers my question, so its okay to do it because of my age? Or is it not ok to do it at all but they may just not bother because I am older?

Can someone please advise just what I am or am not allowed to do regardless of my age, that shouldnt come into it.
Is it ok to be downloading songs or not? And does it matter whether it is 20 or 200 a week?
