![]() I am not sure LW's playlist is copiable to iPod. AFAIK it is not, the playlist is playable but not burnable or copiable. The purpose of the LW playlist is simply for checking & playing your newly downloaded songs. If you wish to get rid of it, go to LW's menu bar, Tools > Options > iTunes, turn off 'Share my Music' option. ![]() You will probably need to add your songs to iTunes music library as described here: How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) {click on link}. Then you can add them to any playlist you add to your iPod. ![]() ![]() |

![]() I do not have any files associated with Limewire on my Ipod. The "sharing Limewire" is on the left side of my Itunes window. When you connect an Ipod to your PC with Itunes running, an icon shows up depicting that the Ipod is connected and available. When you put a music CD in the drive while Itunes in running, an icon shows up showing that the CD is available to be used by Itunes. SO NOW, ALL OF A SUDDEN, I have a new icon depicting that Limewire is available. I DID NOT DOWNLOAD IT NOR DID ANYONE ELSE. I DO NOT HAVE A MENU FOR LIMEWIRE, it only appears in Itunes. I can ONLY CONNECT OR DISCONNECT nothing else. COULD THIS BE THE PROBLEM: I was just told by someone that if I have a wireless router in my home and all of our computers are logged in to the wireless router to connect to the internet AND IF ONE OF THOSE COMPUTERS has Limewire loaded, the "sharing" icon will show up in Itunes in ALL COMPUTERS attached to the same wireless router. Is that possible? |

![]() Nice guy huh Birdy. Wonder where their attitude comes from. Doh ... didn't he even think to turn iTunes option off for 'Look for Shared Libraries', yet he speaks as though he knows what he is doing. |

![]() The bold larger print was NOT meant as shouting...sorry about that. It is just that I have had experience on some forums where a question is missed and my only intent was to highlight a question or issue. I have used computers, including programming, selling, supporting and building PCs since 1982. But in all that time, I have NEVER had software loaded on another computer on the same WI FI connection show up on a second computer; never knew that was possible; never used or heard of the "sharing" stuff in any menu of any software. My computer contains everything important to my business and I cannot afford to have unauthorized users get into my system and do damage. My son, a long time ago, got on Napster when spyware, adware, and probably viruses was rampant in the sharing downloads. His computer was so eat up, that we had to spend several hundred dollars to erase everything and rebuild which meant that he lost all data. I do not know much about Limewire but I did know that it was a music downloading software not unlike Napster. When it showed up in my Itunes, I thought that I was going have major problems with my computer. As soon as my son, the same son with the Napster problem, left home after the Christmas break from Ohio State, the icon for Limewire was gone. I will now try to turn off the "sharing" option in my Itunes that you say is there. So that the next time he visits, I will not see the icon. |

![]() Hi All, I just joined the forums because I've just learned of a problem that has just developed with my Mac. I've been using Limewire for a little while now and things have been great. Yesterday, my wife tried to download a song. She searched for it and selected one to download. So far, so good. When it was complete (100%), we went to iTunes to play it as we always do. It was not there. Always in the past, the song automatically transferred to the iTunes library, but this time it didn't. Thinking we did something wrong, we tried a different song. Same problem. I've tried again today and none of the downloads transfer to our iTunes any longer. Did one of us mistakenly change a setting that is causing us this problem? Can someone tell me how to get it working again like it used to? Please help... cheers, Jack |

![]() Sorry I'm not a Mac user (our Mac users aren't around ATM) ![]() What format are the songs? Can you launch the songs from LW & do they play ok? If you manually transfer the files to iTunes, do they transfer without a problem? If the songs seem ok & you can manually move them to iTunes, try LOTR's advice in the threads below ![]() http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...re-itunes.html http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...gs-itunes.html If nothing there helps, try deleting LW's preferences folder.
