hi, im having a few simple issues with the new version of limewire i just downloaded.

in all the other versions i always changed my dowload destinations, how much to share, auto transfer to itunes etc etc. well in this version i went to options and set up everything how i liked and cloed out of options. when i went back to options later to check on something, i noticed all my settings had been put back to defaults.

after messing with it for a while with no success i thought of two possibilities.

1) the options page stretches from top to bottom of my screen (using small 10" laptop) and is unable to be resized. is there a "apply" button on the bottom of the page im not able to see?

or

2) changing the options is only available on pay versions.

i did search around but i could find anything that answered my specific problem.

any help is really appreciated.

(2) is not the case. lol (1) might be the issue. There should be an OK button at bottom of each option window. You can drag the option window up from the very top, see if you can drag it up enough to see the OK & Cancel buttons.

Other than this, perhaps reset resolution either via right-clicking the program, else in main settings. Perhaps try the first option first in the Compatibility mode option after choosing Properties. ie: right-click LW shortcut, choose Properties, choose Compatibility Mode tab, see options below it.

ok, your idea got me in the right direction. but unfortunately changing resolution didnt help. so after some messing aroun9d i realized how to do it.

for people with small monitors like mine (10.2") here is the easies way to get to the ok and cancel buttons at the bottom of the screen. open the options window of LW and scoot it up as high as possible. then unlock the lower toolbar and drag it to the left side of the screen. you should now be able to make out 3 buttons at the bottom of the options window. the one on the far left is a internet link, there are two on the right side. the left one is ok/apply and the right one is cancel.

i know lame but something this stupid took me way too long to figure out and it might save someone some time to know this.
