Hi everyone. I am using windows and recently updated my limewire and now it doesn't work. I click on the program file, the first bit comes up (saying limewire with the spiderman looking picky) for about 5 seconds and then disappears. And then nothing. Its not even in the task manager. I have tried reinstalling it 3 times, even reinstalled java as that's what limewire's website suggested. Nothing has worked. If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them.

I have found that when you run Limewire, or any other P2P program, your windows registry gets (for want of a better word) torn up and under those conditions some programs may stop working, including LW itself.

So what I do is run a registry cleaner, something like CCleaner, which is free, or Norton Utilities, which is not. Either way, I believe you will need a registry cleaner to sort your windows registry out and possibly get LW running again.
