Newbie and want to stop AVG downloading with pro

Newbie and want to stop AVG downloading with pro

Hi I'm new to this and learning my way around limewire. So far having no problem but why do i need AVG when I have got a very good antivirus software that works, I believe, better? can i find some way of stopping limewire from downloading it?
Opereting on a Toshiba laptop while on holidays but it all goes well.
