Bad luck! I hope this will help http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=49851 Use the links at the bottom and I hope you get he files back .. the programme mentioned will find the files if they are there for free, but I believe you need to pay for the extractor to work ... and somehow you managed to stray in to the Foxes lair which is the Phex forums. Next tome go to Gnutella forums>current Gnutella Client Forums>Limewire cross platform. |

File Recovery Thanks for the help. I managed to recover files after deleting them from LimeWire using Restoration 2.5.14 (link to this software download page @download.com). The software is real simple to use - and it gives you the resulting deleted files rather quickly. I got back a long list, 80,000+ files, but it only took me a few minutes to scroll the list and identify the specific files I needed. Foe efficiency, after executing the search command, you should sort the files by size. That got me most of the mp3 files grouped together, more or less. Then you need to restore the files one by one, which takes a few moments - but than it can be rather quick if you copy them all to the same folder. Thanks again for the help, and good luck to others who were foolish enough (like me) to delete the files... |

Restoration (click on link) Another free one is PC Inspector File Recovery (click on link) but I believe Restoration is better from the feedback I've received. Remember, DO NOT recover the files onto the same partition you are trying to recover from!!!!! Otherwise you will greatly diminish chances of recovery of other files! |
