ok, so i'm trying to install Lime Wire and here's what keeps happening:
i click on the Lime Wire icon on my desktop and there's a pop-up that says PLEASE SELECT A LANGUAGE
ok.. english.. next...
then, it says THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING LIME WIRE [blahblahblah] CLICK NEXT TO BEGIN INSTALLATION
ok... next...
then it says SETUP WILL INSTALL LIMEWIRE IN THE FOLLOWING FOLDER [blahblahblah] CLICK INSTALL TO START THE INSTALLATION
ok.. install...
then it says, YOU DO NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT PRIVILEGES TO INSTALL LIMEWIRE. PLEASE RESTART THE INSTALLER AS AN ADMINISTRATOR OR POWER USER.
wtf???
i have no other choice but to click ok and when i do it all goes away and i'm back where i started with no idea what it's talking about!!!

For Win XP (not too sure for Vista) go to Control Panel > User Accounts. From there you can change whether your account is an administrator

If you aren't able to change your account status (eg if you're a kid who's parents don't let you have administrator privileges) you might have to ask an admin of the computer if they'll install LW on their account, then make a shortcut to your desktop.

Your login account is restricted by the administrator on your computer. If you are the only person on this computer with an account you will need to go into control panel, user accounts and then highlight your account. Now click on properties and then group membership. Now change your permissions to either standard or other with administrator. Be careful with administrator because you can really mess up the system if you do something wrong.

It seems to me that Mr IHM is either using a shared computer, of which he does not have the admin rights, or a work's computer where all installation rights have been taken away.

Either way, you should only install LW on your own computer.
