after downloading limewire its been "loading messages" for hours can someone help?!

after downloading limewire its been "loading messages" for hours can someone help?!

after downloading limewire and starting it up it says "limewire must finish loading before you can stars searching/downloading" when i type a search. at the bottom it says "loading messages" and at the bottom bubble for limewire it says "enabling open information sharing." its been doing this for about three and a half hours now. when does this stop? is there something wrong? did i install something wrong or is my cpu not compatable?
