Do these things: 1. Remove all your previous Java versions using the Add/Remove control panel. 2. Reinstall Java using ONLY the OFFLINE version listed here: Download Java software from Sun Microsystems 3. Delete your previous LW preferences folder if you had LW on your computer previously; Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) Or if using VISTA, see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html 4. Install LW using this version: http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe __ (the installer will remove any previous LW version at beginning of installation process) |

OH ... I forgot to mention ... well if this process doesn't work, then run this small utility Crap Cleaner to clean up registry & try installing LW again. Sometimes fragments of older versions are not removed properly so using a registry cleaner such as above will get rid of those parts that might be interfering with installing or running a particular program. |

i reinstalled java then i (re)installed my downloaded version of limewire, then after a lot of time it worked, finally --- i did not take the one from www9 since i did not know what it was --- oops, in comparison to emule or shareaza, limewire is really too heavy, too bad...
