Freezes

I'm trying to use the latest virsion of Gnotella with Windows ME an I'll have it open for bout 10 min an it freezes everytime...Ive tried unintalling an reinstalling...Ive tried Bearshare an Limewire but I don't like them as good as Gnotella but I can't even use it cause it freezes all the time what could it be from?
I know it can't be my comp...

I just want to say that I am having the same problem with my PIII 600 128MB 20GB running on cable oh yeah and Win ME which would not surprise me if it's the root of the problem.
