I am wondering about some file extensions and if I have a program that will use them.

What are-

Also, do you need a special program to read a downloades e-book?

Hi.

.asf = Advanced Streaming Format. Open with Windows Media Player

.wmv = Windows Media format. Open in .....guess what?

.swf = Shock Wave Flash format. Open in your IE browser or Flash player

.frm = File Report format for dBase. Open in......dBase I guess.

.gz .rar and .ace are all file compression formats, made by their own compression utilities. But if you download "Winrar", it will be able to open all of them.

Winrar is shareware, but...
