You are not alone I erased my hard drive to clean it up,
when I installed the new Gnotella program it can't sighn on ,It gives me the Illegal action window and returns to desktop Icon.

MSVBM is a Microsoft visual basic 6.0 runtime library. You might be missing this library.

COMCTRL is the Windows Common Controls library. If you're using Windows 95, there's an update available for that file as well.

I think the latest version of Internet Explorer installs both of these libraries. Did you uninstall it recently? Or re-install an old copy of Windows? Anyway, if you go to downloads.com, search for "visual basic runtime library 6" and "common controls update" and that should fix it.
