Suggestions for next Gnotella update? 1) A way to remove firewalled IPs from the list of a 'Find More Hosts' search. Push requests take way too long on a modem connection when you have 40-50 alternate IPs to cycle through.
2) A 'Clear All' button for the Find screen. One that clears the contents of ALL the seach fields. I've accidentally done several searches that yielded no results because one or more parameters from a previous search were still in the search boxes.
3) What does 'Gnotella Spy' on the Find page do? The explanation in the docs doesn't make any sense to me.
4) Does the client sort the list of alternate addresses by ping/speed? If the speed of a download falls below a certain point and there are multiple servers available, could the software start looking for an alternate IP address? If it finds a faster connection that is available, could Gnotella set up a 'dummy' connection with the new server while it switched over from the old server?
5) Split downloads. Limewire does this: if an identical file is available on several different servers, the file can be downloaded in 2 or more segments and assembled when done. This would be a great way to quickly download a file from several slower servers at once.
Thanks for making this great program available to us all!
