Post MP3 errors

I have noticed that 100% of the mp3's I download using gnotella are corrupt.. I can give you full stats on my system if you want them.. (beretta@ionstorm.net)

I also regularly see files d/l past the 100% mark.. This doesn't happen every time.. But often enuf to cause concern.

I occasionally see files download past 100% too. Those are the ones that are usually corrupted.

I've never seen anything download past 100% -- do you think the person you're downloading from is in fact still downloading it, himself?

Well, I supposed it's possible the files are still being downloaded by the other person.. but highly unlikely.. Of course, I'm not sitting at the other computer so I cannot say for certain.. but i just ran a test, and out of 5 files d/l 3 went over 100%. So I find it very unlikely that this is what is causing it.

As for the mp3 problem, I had a friend use gnotella to d/l some mp3's and he reported the same problem.. 100% were corrupt..

We both run win2000 pro, so perhaps it is an issue related to this OS.. I dunno..

For reference, my system is Win2000 Pro, Dual PII 450/ with 396 meg/ram. Nothing unusual about the software i run.. minimal background apps..

I love the app.. Just wish I could d/l files with it =)

Oh, I have a dedicated firewall box, but have no issues when using other client programs to d/l stuff. So I doubt it is a factor.

I have seen a file download past 100%. But that was because I started downloading the file from one person (which was obviously incomplete), and then resumed the download from someone with a different(larger) version of the same file. Went up to 250%+ I think.

I don't think it was corrupt though.

I havn't had problems with corrupt downloads from that though. However, I have had a few downloads corrupted when trying to resume a download. It only downloads a few bytes then says it is complete, when it actually isn't.

But this doesn't happen too often either.
