Upload count screwy, followed by no activity Version: 0.73 Seems that after a couple of uploads (some terminated, or failed for whatever reason), the upload count becomes negative (-1, -2, etc). (I'm guessing the code tracking uploads doesn't receive notifications of error conditions) This is usually followed by gnotella coming down to 2-3 connections (mine's set at 10) and the catcher list empties itself. Any attempts to add a host cache to the list results in a connection with little or no activity... which eventually comes off the list. After restarting the app everything works again, for a few hours (until uploads start again?) |
Yeah, I've noticed the same thing. After looking specifically at the packet information, it appears that I no longer can receive any packets after while. (The send-packet-number will continue to rise, but the receive-packet-number stops rising after a while, and soon the cache list empties itself). As far as the upload count goes, you're probably right. If the downloader disconnects, the counter doesn't go back up. And even if you disconnect THEM, the counter still does not go back up. I don't know what's up with Gnutella yet... some claim it's the network and it'll cure itself, others claim it's v0.7x of Gnotella... Either way, I hope things get fixed. Good luck everyone! |
