Gnotella beta, 1.20
 

Hey, everyone using Gnotella... upgrade to the 1.20 so I can have folks to hunt'n'peck with. Yay, chat! :D

BTW, you won't see this version in the usual download sites. You will have to download it from the beta builds section .

Haven't really chatted with anyone yet, but it sure is great to send someone a 'heads up' if they're trying to hammer or do anything else like that:

Me: Hey, slow down - - your uploads with come.
Them: usually no reply but the bad behavior almost always stops.

Yeah, I almost always have one eye on what's going on with my upload slots.

Well, I have only seen one person with whom I could chat so far... and I downloaded beta 1.2.0 the very first day :( . Ergo: it is not compatible with Limewire's chat.

problems with beta version
 

when i launch the application i get a messagebox saying something about a runtime error that has to do with visual basic and then the application stops.
am i the only one with this problem...?

Gnotella 1.2.0 beta needs a DCOM update for Windows 95 and 98.You can download them from:

You're probably missing the Visual Basic Runtime libraries. You should be able to download them from CNet Downloads. Try this link.

no, you just have the option to resume your download from different sources !!
