Cache I am gonna implement a gnutella-like servent as part of a project. I was thinking that to lessen free-loading would it be worthwile to have a cache per-user in which the servent would automatically download say 5 or 10MB of popular searches? This would serve to increase the number of mirrors for a particular file. Also it would lessen the load on the high bw servents. Any suggestions on this? I dont think I will have to brk the basic protocol for this. |
