Gnotella 0.9.3 freezing

Has anyone else experienced a freezing problem with the latest release?

It loads quickly and gets some connections going and sometimes works for about 20 seconds, but then the GUI goes all kerflooey.

It never lists it as "Not Responding" in the Task Manager, but I am unable to get it to respond to anything but ending the task.

Anyone have pointers or similar problems?

The only time I have found this to be a problem is when I a share ALOT of files, the searches stalls the gui. This should be fixed in the next release or two. Try reducing the number of files shared and let me know it goes.

I've seen the lock up, but usually it just runs like a dog - several seconds between accepting mouse-clicks/re-drawing the screen. I'm only sharing about 20~30 files. This has happened every time I've used it.

Yea, this happen with 10 server listed I haev yet to search for anything it locks up after a couple seconds. I have used 0.7.3 with no problems so it must be the program

It is hard for me to write anything good about 0.9.3 cause it will not let me use it.

I use 98 then upgraded to WinME 0.7.3 works. Like they say if it works why upgrade!

Did some more research 5 is the magic number! I enter 5 out going servers and 0.9.3 has not crash on me. I was able to download some files

The guy that post say Gnotella was not complete and to use Gnucleus well that program couldn't connect to any servers. Gnutella is not in complete may need work but is the kewlest client out there.

I have been using versions .73 and the original .56 (the plain Jane skin is perfect;looks like a normal app at work!) and limiting my Outgoing Conns. to 4. I have never had a problem with the program bogging down. At what point does hardware become a factor? I run a P350 at work and P133/P233's at home, no problems anywhere. I am contemplating upgrading the software, but after reading about all these issues, I may keep .73 handy in case the new version introduces too many ill side effects.

My problem listed above seems to have been hardware related. I was running a P-Pro 200 and just upgraded to a P-III 800 and everything runs like a champ. (I love Gnotella, but you gotta admit it's a Hog!)
