You people obviously don´t know of the benefits of the only TRUE gnutella software, which is Furi. Not only that it´s cross-platform and 100% pure Java, it has also this fundamental special feature. You cann add "candidates" for a download. These are files of exactly the same size on any other server. So if a download is too slow or breaks, furi simply switches to the next host and resumes downloading from there. Now this is something even bearshare can´t do. And you wouldn´t believe how cool this is.

So, will gnotella have its spyware built-in like earlier versions of Bearshare???? Or will it use a customized version of spyware that is not detectable by normal spyware detectors? Ala Real Networks.

So what do I say? Stick to Furi. It is free (in the true sense of the word) and you can check the sourcecode if you want. What more could you possibly want?

BearShare STILL has spywear in it, it just doesn't give you a choice to not have it installed. At least you can remove it withougt killin the client, for now at least. I doubt that it will last.
