Can anyone tell me what the gnutella spy button does on the search page. Thanks

it appears that the Spy setting just goes out and looks for servers

maybe it's a spy?

i am not sure about this. but my though would be that the spy monitors (spies on) the search results it gets a hand on and shows them. so it shows you what search results others have got?!?

Yes, that's exactly what it does.
