I Solved the High Processor Usage Issue Gnotella was spending half the time checking to see if your files were changing. Go to the Setup Tab, click on the "Shared Files" tab, and uncheck the box that says "Watch my Files for Changes". This solved it for me. |

In my experience, CPU usage is high because I put 30 as the number of hosts to connect to. This chews up 96% of my CPU. Lowering the figure down to 5 solves the problem. Try it, is it the same for you? |
number of files hi there, to me it seems the messages/number of hosts isn't the thing. for me it made a biiiig difference to reduce the number of files i share. with about 1k filed (10 gigs), gnotella stopped working after 30secs-1min. having reduced this to 10 (6 gigs) made it run for a long time. it still hangs from time to time and i am still investigating. but this really was a thing. also i read to uncheck the "search full path" option would make a difference. hope this helps. at least something more to experiment with. |
