Gnotella (Windows) Gnotella has been discontinued. We highly recommend you use an actively developed client instead.

Post PHEX - Best Gnutella client I have found!!!!

So, you tried Bearshare, but don't like the spyware plugin.
You tried Gnotella and miss some refinements.
You tried Limewire and hate the slowness and few features.
And the others? Way below all of the above.

Now go and try PHEX!!!! Current version is 0.41.
It is truly full of promise. Download resume, looking for more file download sites automatically, matching up filesizes and so much more.
Runs on VB but very fast (much faster then Limewire).
Try it! Search www.google and you'll find the sites to download it from.

I ONLY use PHEX now plus Gnotella 0.99.
They both compare well with each other, compensating each others features.

The rest? Good for learning about Gnutella. Not for serious file sharing P2P.
If you like to have all your details logged, you may as well us Napster, or whatever, sharing through central servers, with all your details uploaded!

Go PHEX, and tell your experience.

SRL is flying high

It's an updated FURI (an old but good client in its time).

I did try it and it's not too bad once you actually get it running (it lacks FURI's full install).

The main problems I've noticed are...

1) It doesn't know about the many new extended search attributes (like firewall and availability).

2) It *may* not push correctly. At least it seems that way to me - push downloads never seem to work. Early clients often had problems with this, but its been fixed with most newer ones.

3) Although it preserves downloads between sessions (and has a *wonderful* ability to automatically re-search for new hosts), it seems to zero the file clearing any progress made before you quit (or windows crashed ;-).

All and all, it reminds me of Gnucleus - another client that shows much promise but still has a few bugs to work out.
