Downloading limits Very often when I download files I want several from one user. That leads to either many busy calls or all download slots occupied by files from that user, the latter resulting in worse network performance for others. What I would like to see is download limits on a per user basis similar to the one that already exists for uploads. |

- sorting by all heading on all pages - max upload & download caps (not per user) - favorite server lists (ie - napster hotlist) - on/offline status for servers on download page (would keep me from sending push requests to servers that are offline) - some method to continue downloads from another server (although i don't like the grouping function like limewire) it would just allow you to match file sizes to determine if a server has a copy of the file you were originally downloading. Gnotella is the best, even as it is (except for the upgrade notification :P) |

I am against the freeloader filter. There are people (like me) who can't always share files due to network configurations. Any protocol which relys on IP adresses will fail outgoing, but work ok incomming (I think, maybe I got that backwards) This is because I am on a LAN with 26 computers using the same external IP. Using the (56k) dial up, I always share, but that is only availabe half the day. |
