Please help gnucleus won't connect I downloaded gnucleus from opensourcep2p.sourceforge.net and it will not connect no matter what I try. The connect progress bar keeps scrolling but it never gets to the end or says connected, in the advanced tab it usually says cache empty, ocasional one of the hosts cache servers will show up briefly and it might say cache .06% or .013% but usually it just says cache empty. I added a bunch of hosts cache servers the open source one, all the gnutellanet servers, etc and I tried both with and without the firewall box checked. (I am behind a linux firewall but ever other file sharing program I've used has worked fine, without any special settings, including limewire). Can anyone help? |

It doesn't save your download list if you exit the program or if it crashes - i can't believe how many clients don't have that functionality. Should be the FIRST thing they add. It's really dumb! |
I had the same problem with 1.7.3.0 untill I set an incomming port number (usually 6436) after that it works perfectly. The default seems to be to let gnucleus chose a random number. Hope this helps. |
