Are some Gnucleus features outdated and lagging behind technology ? Example: connect Gnucleus. It will probably connect to 1 supernode as its only connection. Use Tools - Node Map. It will draw 2 circles with a line in between. You and the other one. Pretty useless if you ask me. Also, if I turn on monitoring in Statistics, every pong reply comes from my supernode, with the same Ip address and amount of files shared. Say, 600 MB. After 20 pongs, the Distribution tab of Statistics will read 20 hosts with 12.000 MB shared. That just doesn't seem to work correctly. |
yeah, this is what happens to me. I either get 5 hosts (rare) or 1 supernode, usually with no files. it seems to happen in all gnutella clients. is the gnutella network going down? |
I think you have to wait for a while. At the moment I have over 7 connections. Are you using the newest version of Gnucleus 1.7.7 via auto-evolve? |
