So basically, given Gnucleus' superior ability to hold an ultrapeer connection compared to other client software, if it altered 1) the processing of greedy queries and 2) user alterable parameters for ultrapeers (on Limewire, you check a box or no. There is nothing more to set), then it would make a fine ultrapeer?
I don't think the ability to hold a connection, that is flooding the network can be called feature.

As for Gnucleus making a fine ultrapeer, - I really can't tell you, since there are far too few gnucleus ultrapeers to be of much significance for the overall performance. They are so tightly linked to the LimeWire ultrapeers with a ratio of about 1 Gnucleus ultrapeer for every 10 LimeWire ultrapeers, so it's almost impossible to notice any difference for the overall performance.

Do you think the people who are complaining are the ones who flood with searches like ".mp3" ?

The people complaining are the ones not receiving any pongs, so theuir host count in the statistics view shows a number close to zero.

gnucleus in the code is only to connect to 3 ultra nodes by default. this number can be changed in the c++ end and compiling your own version. in the settings you can some times override this number by setting minnimum connected nodes to 100 and max to 200. most users are too mentally challenged to figure that out.

@Gamer
Is that so? Why?

@Mtekk
Only if you are an ultranode yourself, you should connect to more than 3 other ultranodes.
