![]() Gnucleus has something wrong with downloading. I have had several Gnucleus uses download the same file over and over. One guy downloaded a small text file 356 times. This must be an bug in the program because no one would download the same file that many times. I have had to block several people. Just to let you know there are better clients then Gnucleus. there are better clients than yours out there that will tell you the client version. they have a bug report area on sourceforge, why not see if you can help out instead of trashing a nice bunch of developers that are putting in their time free of charge? Did you try Gnucleus? |

![]() Hmm, Actually I wonder if the guy wasn't confusing Gnucleus with Gnotella. I just has a Gnotella user download the same file several times. Easy to do because it lets you add an item to the download window even if it's identical to one already there. |

![]() You posted in another forum the extact same thing, right under someone posting about Gnotella with this problem. Did you make this problem up, or was it really Gnucleus downloading over 300 times? Anyways, go read your own post, and the one above it, http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...&threadid=1220 Last edited by swabby; June 2nd, 2001 at 04:08 PM. |

![]() Maybe "ZeroShadow" is Vinnie in disguise? ;-) I love how he tells em' to use a "better" client like BearShare. One thing in this regard, but from the other side of the fence. I wish Gnucleus had a way to block IPs of pesky downloaders. If someone's being abusive or has a broken client (i.e. too many retrys, re-downloading the same file after it's finished, etc) it would be nice to have an option on the context menu to block the IP. It wouldn't need to be stored - most IPs are dynamic anyway. Just keep a banned IP list in memory. |
