Thumbs up Gnucleus 1.3.2.0 Rocks!

I've been using it for two days and I have still not experienced any crashes (they will probably start after this posting ;-).
I'll have no problem recommending your program to others!

I think Vinnie Falco may start to worry...

Default 1.3.2.0

I agree this one's really nice (the window bar is a wonderful addition)!

It's more stable for me too. I did have one crash though - happened after the program had been sitting in the tray for awhile. Since I wasn't actively doing anything in it, I wonder if perhaps it's not something to do with upload attempts or some other remote peer's action? Just a guess.

As for Vinnie, I'm happy to see that more of my downloads than ever are coming from non BearShare peers. Not that I want to see BearShare go away, but I think having one uber-client is bad for g-net as a whole.

An even mix means one company can't co-opt g-net for their own purposes (being open source, Gnucleus really helps this too). Also the RIAA can't attack just one point to shut down peer production.

Default Evolver crashes instantly

Hallo:

Does anyone knows if there is a source to update gnucleus to 1.3.2. without using the auto evolver?

On my system the evolver is crashing instantly with an error:
[GNUCLEUS verursachte einen Fehler durch eine ungültige Seite
in Modul MFC42.DLL bei 0137:6c372bfe.]
This means: Invalid page in MFC42.dll.

Or is it sufficient to get an update of mfc42 ( i believe this is a visual basic runtime)?
Last thing I see is that two files are requested. Does anyone knows which files these are? And it is possible to get them without evolver? And if, where?

Greetings....

Default Evolver crashes instantly II

If anyone encounters the same problem I would suggest to update elsewhere and transfer the updated exe file per hand.

I tried this (with Batfink's kind help, thank you again :), and it seems to work perfect. If needed I will mail the updated exe to anyone in need.

Of course this is only an interim solution.

Greetings....

Default Manually Updating

I'm not sure what the bug is that is crashing your system when you evolve, but here's how you can manually update.

Go to http://www.gnucleus.net

Click the link Evolver (raw XML) at the bottom of the page

Click on the latest version

Download the new files to your Gnucleus install directory

Thank you, Swabby! This is MUCH better than sending eMails around! :-)

By the way: 1.3.2. is much more sdtable than 1.3.1., it is a very successful new release in my opinion!

Keep up the good work, and give word about other documentation teams, please.

Greetings....

Unhappy More crashes

Sadly, my luck today with Gnucleus has been worse. Three random crashes so far (usually just shortly after a download I've been waiting for starts too!).
