Extremely slow downloads....what's my problem

I am running Win 2k, DSL (256k), and a Zone Alarm firewall. The firewall appears to be open, because I can connect to Gnutella, but that download rate is about .5kps or slower. A few nights ago it was pretty fast. My normal internet activity runs at about 225k or so, so I'm not sure why this is so slow. Router problems? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

The speed also depends on the upload connection of the hosts you are downloading from.

Try to download from fast hosts or use swarming.
