I have just downloaded Gnucleus and installed it.
It works, but any time I grab a file too download, it takes hours (seep= +/- 0.6 Kbs!!!!).
Please help me to solve this problem (I bet something in the parametres is wrong, but I cant find out....).

Same as every other file sharing system without segmented downloading, the speed of your download is directly related to who you are downloading from. It has nothing to do with gnutella.

But....

I've recently been downloading and comparing the various windows gnutella file sharing proggies... and while gnucleus is GREAT at searching and finding titles, it seems seriously and significantly slower at transferring files, establishing and maintainging connections, etc. So I don't think one can blame it on the underlying network/protocol.... of course, it may have something to do with the initial settings upon installing gnucleus... (which is why I am here, myself, looking for
advice..)
