![]() After reading a thread in the Xolox forum where Memturbo 2.1 was recommended if you was losing memory resources while using a gnutella client. I downloaded a copy from the gnutella net and gave it a try. It was fantastic! Now I feel my Win98SE system is as stable as Win2000. No need to upgrade at the moment. I've used it for about two days and has not had an OS crash since I installed it. Usually win98SE was crashing at least twice a day for me. Beg - Borrow - Steal, or buy if you are a good citizen :-). I have had no negative experiences yet. Perhaps too early to give an unconditional thumbs up, but if it start to misbehave I wil report it later. Before using Memturbo I was testing the freeware program Mpower 1.1 from Mindbeat which is similar. It was a waste of time testing it. It did nothing noticable with my PC. |
