Can the re-search timeout be increased?

I notice when you re-search to resume a broken download it times out rather quickly and shows a "Unable to connect" status. It doesn't really seem to wait long enough in some cases (results seems to be showing up very slowly on the g-net as a whole lately).

I'm wondering, can this time-out can be increased somehow? Alternately, can it keep waiting for results even when "unable to connect" is showing (and try again if any later show up)?

Pending downloads, and downloads connecting will actually automatically send a query over new connections for more hosts to download from. The time out is 30, which is more than enough time for results to come back. The time can be modified in the source, adding a preference for it is too much a waste. A better idea would be to more downloads where 0 hosts were found to a 'pending' status so that it would continue searching the network.
