1.5.9.1 - connection info not showing I've noticed that whan a connection fails in version 1.5.9.1, it immediately erases any connection information when you select Extended Info->More and doesn't report why the connection failed like it used to. The HTTP info just flashes quickly then disappears before you can read it. Also I still wish there was a way to have failed connections re-searched instead of just giving up. This is especially a problem for firewalled servers that fail to respond to the first push. As it is, I have to do a lot of manual re-searching, but it would be nice if new peer connections were automatically searched. |
New connections in gnucleus are auto-matically re-searched, even if you are downloading the file, it will re-search it for more hosts to download from. |
Thanks, but it's not actively downloading files that's the problem. When trying to resume a file (after restarting Gnucleus for instance), it does an initial search, but if it doesn't find any results it gives up and never tries again. I have to manually retry every so often until I find at least one host. It would be nice if it did this itself for any new connections instead of going into "failed" status on a file. |
