Default Setting host ranges to block in Block Properties (bug?)

Hi,

I've just registered here because I'm literally tearing my hair out with this thing.
To me, it simply seems a bug in 2.2.0.0 (latest).

I thought I could simply do a

aa.bb.cc.dd-ee.ff.gg.hh

using a simple hyphen ( - ) for blocking a range of hosts, but this doesn't seem to work.
You can try it yourself: everytime you leave the settings and go back into the Preferences dialog again, you will get this auto-transformed to the following instead:

aa.bb.cc.dd-255.255.255.255

What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks for any help...

this is just a guess, but from looking at the first entry in the images, try making your range from xx.xx.xx.00 to xx.xx.xx.255

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately, this didn't do the trick.

Nor do I understand what's supposed to be achieved with that. Sometimes you don't always want to ban the whole caboodle (xx.xx.xx.00-xx.xx.xx.255) but only one of its subnets, so you cannot use full .0-.255 range.

That aside, as the last version came in 2005, who should I inform about this? IF it's really a bug (which I presume) do I ever have a chance to get this fixed one fine day?
