![]() This seems to be a fairly common problem so I'll ask here even though I may figure it out anyway. Running GTK-Gnutella 0.95 on a vanilla Debian Sarge setup. I'm sure I've set port forwarding correctly on my ADSL router, checked my ISP doesn't block the ports I'm trying etc. because I've run Gnucleus successfully from my doze side. I've tried reaching the port from the net. So it must be something local. As I understand it, two things could be causing the blockage: the local firewall (which I believe is called ipchains), or the portmapper. Am I on the right track? Could anyone link me to a howto which would teach me how to open a one port hole for gnutella? Advice would be much appreciated. My 7 year old son wants better search results and I'd hate to disillusion him as to my computing ability! ![]() Thanks |
