Default installing on Slackware 10.2 with 95 already installed

So I downloaded and installed 95 by accident with the .tar.bz2 "for other os'" and i searched and thought that i read that if i install 96 it'll overwrite the 95 files, but when i run gtk-gnutella it still says 95 stable.

If someone wouldn't mind giving me a small walk through on how to fix/install properly i'd appreciate it very much. Im still getting used to linux so this is a little trivial for me. Thanks in advanced!

Try

/usr/local/bin/gtk-gnutella

and

/usr/bin/gtk-gnutella

You probably have both and one is 0.95 and the other is 0.96.

You can simply remove file. There should also be a directory /usr/share/gtk-gnutella or /usr/lib/gtk-gnutella with a few files which can be removed too then. I'm not sure I understood you right though. Have you tried to install 0.96 yet?
