version 0.96 problem Aloah! well hey, i am new to linux, new to this board, i got a problem with the currten gtk-gnutella version 0.96... i got Ubuntu for PPC running on an G4 1 ghz 1gb Ram My problem... I downloaded source of the version 0.96 i tried ./Configure in terminal buuuut then this happens. terminal:..... Locating common programs... awk is in /usr/bin/awk. cat is in /bin/cat. chgrp is in /bin/chgrp. chmod is in /bin/chmod. chown is in /bin/chown. cp is in /bin/cp. echo is in /bin/echo. expr is in /usr/bin/expr. grep is in /bin/grep. I don't know where 'make' is, and my life depends on it. Go find a free implementation or fix your PATH setting! ...... what i should do ? thx so far , bye |
You have to install "make". I have no explanation why Ubuntu doesn't install something as essential as "make" by default. You will probably have to install further packages in order to compile Gtk-Gnutella successfully. I can't tell you exactly which packages because I don't use Ubuntu. Also, please use Configure as this: ./Configure -Oders |
