Have you tried one of the Phex connection installers? http://www.gnutellaforums.com/help-s...nstallers.html.
Phex must be closed when you run the Connection installer.
After you run the Connection installer, Phex might not connect first try, but let it try for 20 minutes or so. If no connection then close it. Open Phex a minute later and it should hopefully connect.
Did you give Phex an exception in your firewall?

If nothing works then post back these details http://www.gnutellaforums.com/new-ph...-you-post.html and we will see if there is something in your setup that might be the issue. For example a reknown problematic router or security software.

Both incoming and outgoing. Also for file-sharing programs, one firewall only is recommended. Two firewalls have a tendency to clash with each other.
Normally when you give an exception it will include both. Norton I am not sure about.

still no go even with firewall rule i may have to try this connection fix. dose it come with a uninstaller as well in case i dont like phex after i get it up?

ok just adjusted firewall rules i got one connection others refusing to connect with a connection time out error.

might just uninstall seams like gnutella is a dead end one peer on whole thing and he has nothing at all.

Strange, I am connected to 32 peers and 40 leafs (72 other persons.) Does not seem dead to me.
And search results for specific topics returning over 100 results.
