![]() hi i`m Mike from the netherlands i have a question i don`t have a legal version of microsoft windows and when i try to play a video file a pop up tells me that i need to validate my windows media player how can i play a video file without using windows media player? or how can i use another player? I already know that i can use the LW player for mp3 files so now my question is can i also do that with video files like per example avi or mpeg/? hope to hear from you people soon greetings from holland mike b |

![]() First of all, that's here the Phex client forum, not the LimeWire client forum. You could try to use a different media player such as the free VLC player with built-in codecs which can play almost all media files without problems. You can download it from here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ As a side note, to preview files with it you'll have to open the files directly from the Incomplete folder and not via the LW preview function. ![]()
