Outpost Firewall - Phex Rules? hey, im a new user of phex, i really like it so far, but something troubles me; does anyone know which ports (tcp/udp) phex uses? or better yet; does anyone know of a good rule (a guide maybe?) for the outpost firewall so i dont have to give the javaw.exe process full access? i looked on their forums but didnt found anything interesting thanks in advance! |
Sure :) Just go into the network tab. Below the field with the connections, you see an IP address followed by a port (looks similar to 123.123.123.123:6346). The part after the colon (":") is the port phex uses, UDP as well as TCP. It chooses it randomly, when it is run first time on a system and keeps it afterwards (as long as you keep the config files :) ). Have fun with Phex! |
hey m8, this is what i came up with so far, hope its good enough :p http://tinyurl.com/ympyor (url referer, since the board filters im4gesh4ck) and thanks for the fast reply! :) |
Looks good, but you still need to allow inbound TCP on the same port as the inbound UDP. (Sorry that the reply took a week this time. I was 200km away from my computer :) ) |
