Please help to get Phex working I really want to be able to use Phex for my P2P needs, but have quite a big problem. I can search ok and when I start downloads they appear ok, but after a few minutes the connections will slowly grind to a halt. This happens even if I am downloading from several different Hosts. I have checked all the obvious on my side, but can't see any probs, this is backed up by that I can use Bearshare in both Leaf and Ultrapeer mode and have quick, no problem downloads. Hope someone can helo so I can ditch all other P2P and use Phex. Thanks |
Also forgot to add, once the downloads have slowed down or stopped, if I restart Phex again, they go back to full speed, then slow or stop again. |
Are you behind a firewall? Do you have the Phex Ports forwarded? |
Yes I have port 6346 and 6348 open. Please note Bearshare works 100% so I am pretty sure my port settings are ok, unless someone can advise otherwise. |
For Phex you need different Ports (they are chosen randomly on first run to make sure noone simply guesses how to connect to your Phex). You can find your port in the network tab, next to your IP-Address. |
