Unremoveable entries on Download list There are two files on the Download list, which appear to have identical file names but different SHA1 IDs, that I cannot remove through the usual means. They persist beyond program shutdown and restart. Status is "Completed," and I have removed the files from my Download directory (there are no remnants in the "Incomplete" directory.) This is not affecting program performance but is an annoyance I can't seem to get rid of! Should I try editing the .xml files directly? Any tips for doing that? |

Please do the following: - Shutdown Phex - Delete your phex.error.log file - Start Phex - Try to delete both download file entries again - Shutdown Phex - Send me the phex.error.log file, in case it contains anything ;) You can find the error file in the Phex configuration directory: http://www.phex.org/wiki/index.php/Configuration_Files You can try to edit the download XML file if you like. Make sure Phex is not running and create a backup before you do it. Always remove a complete entry starting with: <swDownloadFile> everything between and ending with: </swDownloadFile> If it doesn't contain any other downloads you can also just delete the whole file. No error log file written Hello Gregor, I followed your instructions, but no new error log was written. I didn't rename/save the old one but I do have a pre-existing file, phex.error.log.1 if you care to inspect it... However, I did edit the .xml file as you recommended, which has of course removed the entries, and all seems fine, now. Thanks. |
