![]() i've already notice that. It seems to me that's a bug... It runs fine when there is only one source, but with multiple sources suddenly when there's only a few K's to finish the download, the sources get "Connection failed." EDIT: I forgot, the download will eventually finish but it will take longer. Last edited by Manifest0; January 5th, 2008 at 05:48 AM. Reason: Because there's a edit button |

![]() Yes, I found this is the case (I forgot to mention it in my original post), this seems to happen when swarming not when doing a download from a single source. Anyone else have any ideas why this would occur? |
| ||||
![]() I think I know why: When Phex gets into the queue of a source, it assignes a segment of the file to that source. When it reaches the end of the file, chances are high that there will be some sources where Phex is in queue. It will then attempt to get the already assigned segments only from these sources, and this means it will wait to get to the front of the queue, which can take some time. We already have a feature requests to change this behaviour: ge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1794260&group_id=27021&a tid=388895 Maybe you can write your experiences there (politely).

![]() Using 3.2.4.105. The same bug is coming up in this version. On a video file download it stalls at 99% (16kb-80kb left). I notice it was reported in the previous version. Was it corrected in the new version? |
| ||||
![]() The stalling comes from sources at which you are in the queue, but which block a segment nontheless, so phex has to wait for them to finish. To fix this, phex would have to download the same segment from multiple sources and then select the first which finished (or actually began downloading, or similar). This isn't fixed, yet, since it wasn't first priority for this version.

![]() I'm glad to be able to help ![]() Besides: If you can code in Java, you're welcome to contribute a fix ![]()

![]() You can kind of work around this... View the candidates for the download that has stalled, and find the candidates(s) that have you in their queue. Right click on the candidate(s) and select Remove Candidate from the context menu. After that, my download finished instantly! |
