![]() I am semi computer knowledgeable. I am using BSU wireless internet and can't connect to Phex. I included some pictures to help you experts get an idea of what is going on. I will answer any questions to the best of my ability. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() I presume Phex has apples NAT-PM support because it's not totally identical to UPnP. But I'd give it a 98% chance it is supported. Have you been able to connect via your BSU wireless internet with other p2p programs? By wireless do you mean you connect to your ISP via a wireless connection & not via cable/phoneline etc. I am aware some such services have their own firewalls at their own base. Also a question of your receiver, whether it has a nat or similar internal firewall. Any specifications of other equipment you are using? BTW which port are you connecting through for Phex? Try this test with your browser: Port 6346 test The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? |

Not using any other equipment that I know of. The whole campus has a wireless connection i.e. I can take my computer anywhere on campus and get online w/o any wires, etc. I am not sure, maybe you can help me out here. Quote:
Thanks for the help thus far. |

![]() Does that mean I'm SOL or is there someway to bypass the filter? |

![]() This looks like you're being blocked by your university. As a very simple test you could try to chagnge the network name. You won't be able to connect that way, but you can test on what level you're being blocked. Go into Phex -> Network -> select network and change the name to something else (This is essentially the same you'd do for forming a private network). Now please check, if the status of the host still shows connection only, or if it shows soem other values. Besides: p2p from universities is often forbidden by school rules. I'd think twice about it.

![]() Besides: You can find teh Phex Port in the Phex network pane. Below the list of hosts there's a field "My IP". The number after the colon "(":") is the Port, in your case: 11780 I wish you good luck! Arne
