i am trying to burn a cd but all the songs come up as mp3 and wont burn can anyone help me?

You need to burn the disk as a Audio CD, not as a data cd or mp3 disk. It will be an option you have missed seeing on your cd burner program. See Burning an audio CD from your MP3's (for windows users)

For Mac OSX, it depends which program you are using. For iTunes, go to preferences & burning & click the Audio CD option. For Toast, click Audio/Music tab & select Audio CD.
