SHA1 value Hi there because of comparison reasons I'd like to know how Phax calculate the SHA1 hashcode. Using other programms to calculate the SHA1-hash gives me a different value than Phex does fot the same file. Can anyone help me out on this one? Jan de Echte |
The only reason I can think of for this is, that some programs use lowercase base32 encoding for the sha1, while Gnutella always uses uppercase base32: Base32 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |
Know any programm? That could be the matter. I'll try to check this out. Meanwhile; You (or anyone else) knows a programm that can generate the desired hashcode? Jan de Echte |
PS the hashes are fulle different, not only the upper/low cases...... |
Phex uses source contributed from Philippe Verdy to the Bitzi project to calculate SHA1 SourceForge.net Repository - [phex] Index of /phex/trunk/src/main/java/com/bitzi/util Bitzi Bitcollider Utility Bitzi's Bitcollider SourceForge Project |
TNX couldn't find any full program calculating the same hash as Phex does. Gonna work with this info. Jan de Echte |
