Default GUID questions

I understand that the GUID is a unique number for each installation of PHEX and LW. I think my GUID is found in the PhexCoreProps file (Network.ServentGuid=DF964FA58.....)?

Im trying to understand what role the GUID plays in the actually communication and file transfer.

ALSO is the GUID of each machine transmitted to the other during the download/ upload process? Im looking at the file headers and and data captures and I cant find anything resembling the GUID of the other box.

Any explaination would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dave
