Phex over a LAN ? Hello, Phex 3.2.6-106 works great with the Gnutella network. Now, I am trying to use Phex over a LAN. I have created a network called LanGroup with the usual settings (Force to be an ultrapeer...). The connections panel shows My Address: 127.0.0.1:299967 and not the IP address of the ethernet interface. When I try to connect to a peer, I get "Error.Disconnected from remote host...". Any idea ? |
Please check this thread: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/help-s...tml#post303417 It has the current (simple) solution for getting Phex to work properly in a LAN. The problem is the firewall detection algorithm - Phex sees the private (LAN) address but didn't ever connect to a non-private address so it thinks itself firewalled and a private address in another network would be unreachable. |
Thanks a lot ! It works. |
