Greetings! Here's my problem...
 

OK, I've been using Phex for about 4 years. Been using it on Vista for about a year.

ALL OF A SUDDEN, when I download ANYTHING I get this error message:

"Creating File Failed
C\Program Files\Phex_3.2.0.102\Partial Dowloads\Incomplete(49)-(filename)
Reason:
java.io.IOException: Access is denied"


Where it says "(filename)" is the name of the file I'm trying to download.

I'm using a PC at home that only I use. And like I say, nothing has changed in my sw or hardware. I'm just getting this message all of a sudden.

Any ideas??

Not sure.. there seem to be some strange permission problems on Vista.

Could it be that the User has no permissions to write to C:\Program Files\Phex_3.2.0.102\Partial Dowloads
Or could it be that the Partial Dowloads directory doesn't exist? Though Phex should create it in that case.. Is there a 'n' missing on downloads or did you misspelled it while writing?

Could it be that the (filename) contains some strange invalid characters Vista is not accepting?

Could it be Java is running in some kind of Sandbox (any kind of security software) on your machine that prevents it to access the file system?

Did you try to run with Admin privileges?

Do you still have free diskspace?

(sorry if this sounds ridiclous - this bit me a few times :) )

Does the folder C\Program Files\Phex_3.2.0.102\ still exist, or did you delete it when you updated Phex?
